Map not loading, or address search not working
Make sure you have a network connection. The map tiles and address search both need one. Try closing and reopening the app. If it still doesn't work after a few minutes, email us below with your device and iOS/Android version.
Location isn't working
- iPhone: Settings → SweepSpot → Location, and make sure it's allowed.
- Android: make sure Location is turned on for the device and allowed for SweepSpot.
- You can also type in an address manually instead of using your location.
The app shows a demo instead of my street
SweepSpot only covers San Francisco. You need to be physically in San Francisco to use the app with your location. Anywhere else, it runs in demo mode and shows sample data instead. You can still type in a San Francisco address to check a real spot from anywhere.
Reminders / "move your car" notifications aren't firing
- iPhone: Settings → SweepSpot → Notifications, and make sure they're allowed.
- Android: make sure notification permissions are granted for SweepSpot.
- Reminders are scheduled on your device, so they need the app to have been opened at least once after you set them.
A street sweeping schedule looks wrong
Schedules come from San Francisco's official Street Sweeping dataset. If a sign on the street disagrees with the app, trust the sign. Schedules do change, and while we refresh the data regularly, there can be a lag.
The quickest way to tell us is from the app itself: press and hold the card and turn it over. You can describe the problem, add a photo of the sign, and send it straight to us with the block's details attached. Or email us the address and we'll check it.
